DARIN McDANIEL is a manufacturing manager by trade, and an itinerant crossword constructor by hobby, who has been fortunate enough to have puzzles published in both The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. He and his wife, Kaye, have two grown sons and spend as much time as they can enjoying the spectacular sunsets of Tucson, Arizona. His idea of heaven-on-earth is sitting at a picnic table at the bottom of the Grand Canyon with a crossword puzzle in hand – a destination he's managed to reach every year since 1991.
